Pic Special: Dunedin Training
United's stars undertook their first training session of the Club's pre-season tour of New Zealand on Monday morning.
Before training, manager Alan Pardew, along with captain Fabricio Coloccini, vice-captain Siem de Jong and Dutch midfielder Vurnon Anita faced the local media in a pre-match press conference ahead of Tuesday's friendly with Sydney FC.
And then the Magpies took to the pitch at the impressive Forsyth Barr Stadium, in Dunedin, where they were put through their paces by Pardew and his coaching team, including new head of fitness Dave Billows.
New signing Emmanuel Riviere is part of the squad Down Under and looked impressive in front of goal, as United followed a series of running drills with a number of small-sided, high-intensity matches.
The players and staff finished the morning's work by thanking the fans who had come along to the open training session, by posing for photos, signing shirts and handing out gifts.
