Pic Special: All Hail The Kings

Tens of thousands of music lovers flocked to St. James' Park on Saturday to see Kings of Leon perform the first European date of their Mechanical Bull tour in Newcastle.

It was the first concert to be staged at the ground since Rod Stewart came to Gallowgate in 2007 and the US band performed hits including Supersoaker, Use Somebody, Sex On Fire and Molly's Chambers.

They were supported by British acts Twin Atlantic, The Horrors and White Lies and the show has received rave reviews for an event which well and truly put St. James' Park back on the map as a concert venue.

Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk more than 90 images from a night to remember.
