Pic Special: Newcastle 2 West Brom 1

Moussa Sissoko's second-half screamer earned Newcastle United a fourth consecutive Barclays Premier League victory as they saw off West Bromwich Albion 2-1 at St. James' Park.

The French powerhouse found the top corner from 20 yards out with a brilliant half-volley just before the hour mark, and that proved to be the decisive strike on Tyneside.

Earlier, Yoan Gouffran had headed the Magpies into a half-time lead - his fifth goal of the season - only to see his effort cancelled out by Baggies captain Chris Brunt. But Sissoko had the final word, finding the back of the net for the first time since February.

The win was enough to move Alan Pardew's side up to fifth place in the top flight table after an outstanding November in which they kept a 100 per cent record.
