Pic Special: So Long Simo...

After four years at St. James' Park, Danny Simpson will join Queens Park Rangers on Monday as his Newcastle United contract expires.

The full-back made 138 appearances for the Magpies having signed from Manchester United in August 2009, initially on loan before seeing the temporary spell turned permanent just five months later.

Helping United clinch the Championship title in 2010, Simpson was also a key figure in the Magpies' return to European football thanks to a fifth-placed Premier League finish in 2011/12.

A popular figure at the Club, we take a look back at the Mancunian's time on Tyneside with this gallery of images.
