Pic Special: October And November

Newcastle started October on a high with a slick 3-0 Europa League win over Bordeaux, but lost by the same scoreline to Manchester United before taking on Sunderland in the first Tyne-Wear derby of the season.

Yohan Cabaye gave United the lead but a late Demba Ba own goal gave the Black Cats a share of the spoils before the Magpies ended the month strongly with a 1-0 win over Club Brugge and a last gasp victory over West Brom.

Only a wonderful goal from Luis Suarez prevented another three points against Liverpool, then it was Newcastle's turn to come from behind as they roared back from 2-0 down to draw with Brugge.

However, former player Kevin Nolan scored the only goal as Alan Pardew's side lost at home to West Ham and that was followed by an equally disappointing home defeat to Swansea.

A 1-1 draw with Maritimo secured United's progression in the Europa League but league defeats at Southampton and Stoke meant the Magpies were starting to slip down the table. Club Photographers Ian Horrocks and Serena Taylor bring nufc.co.uk the best snaps from October and November.
