Tuesday morning saw Steven Taylor called up to the England squad for their World Cup qualifier against San Marino on Friday night.

The centre-back has represented his country at Under 16, Under 17, Under 20, Under 21 and B level, but is yet to win a senior cap - despite being named in a squad once before, in August 2007.

That could all change, however, on Friday night at the Serravalle Stadium, so in tribute to the 27-year-old we took a look through the archives to create this gallery of images from the Academy graduate's career.

From youthful days pulling on the Three Lions shirt to lifting the Championship trophy, Taylor's best moments are all there.

And hopefully by the end of the week he has a senior international cap to add to those memories.
