Pic Special: A Morning In Moscow
Rarely has the Newcastle United team's regular pre-match walk led them to such a magnificent backdrop as Moscow's Red Square, but on Thursday morning the squad and staff took the opportunity to take a brief look around the famous place.
Before every away game, Alan Pardew leads his team on a short stroll to stretch their legs in preparation for the big match. It is compulsory and particularly important for European games after a long flight.
As well as the practical benefits, however, the lads also took the opportunity to get some photographs of landmarks like the Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral, the frozen Moskva River and the Kazan Cathedral.
Many took snaps on their mobile phones but Club Photographer Ian Horrocks was also there with his camera to bring nufc.co.uk this exclusive gallery.
And this beautiful city arguably looks even better at night, so our cultured snapper ventured out on Wednesday evening to capture it in all of its nocturnal glory with some truly breathtaking shots - from Russia, with love.
