Pic Special: Newcastle 4 Southampton 2United stretched their impressive run of form to just one defeat in six games in all competitions with a 4-2 victory over Southampton on Sunday. The Magpies had to come from behind at St. James' Park, where Morgan Schneiderlin gave the visitors a third-minute advantage. However, Moussa Sissoko restored parity from close range before a Papiss Cisse stunner edged Newcastle in front with half-time approaching. Rickie Lambert levelled things up after the restart, only for Yohan Cabaye to stroke home a penalty and put Alan Pardew's men in the driving seat once more. An own goal from Jos Hooiveld secured all three points and with it a boost to their Premier League survival hopes.
