Mathieu Debuchy is now officially a Newcastle United player,

The Frenchman agreed a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Magpies as he swapped Lille for Tyneside, and nufc.co.uk was there with him every step of the way.

Club photographer Ian Horrocks was granted exclusive behind-the-scenes access as Debuchy underwent a medical with club doctor Paul Catterson, followed by a number of fitness tests with fitness coach Simon Tweddle.
