United came agonisingly close to a first Premier League away win of the season on Boxing Day at Old Trafford, but have now set their sights on achieving that at Arsenal on Saturday.

Spirits were clearly high on the training pitch before flying south to London, as the likes of Shola Ameobi and James Tavernier shared a joke with Club Photographer Ian Horrocks.

And nobody was immune from the banter, with manager Alan Pardew forced to do some press-ups, having lost a particular game during the session.

But there was a serious side ot proceedings too, with the Magpies determined to turn recent impressive performances into points as they look to pull away from the Premier League's lower reaches.
