Newcastle's long wait for a win at Old Trafford continued on Boxing Day but it wasn't for the want of trying as they look the lead three times against Manchester United.

James Perch struck first after just four minutes before Jonny Evans equalised, then scored an own goal to give the Magpies a half-time advantage.

That was cancelled out by Patrice Evra but Papiss Cisse struck to leave the away fans dreaming of a Christmas miracle. Alas, Robin Van Persie made it 3-3 and then Javier Hernandez won the game in the last minute.
