Pic Special: Need For Speed

On Tuesday afternoon, in between double training sessions for most of the squad, a handful of Newcastle United stars took part in an EA challenge for their new game, Need For Speed - Most Wanted.

Injury victims Gabriel Obertan, Steven Taylor, Haris Vuckic and Dan Gosling as well as youngsters Sammy Ameobi and James Tavernier had two attempts each to go around the virtual reality course in the fastest time possible - with some proving to be better drivers than others.

The ever-competitive players were determined to come out on top not only amongst their own team but also beat the times set by players from other clubs, with Aston Villa's Ashley Westwood currently leading the overall table with Everton's Phil Jagielka and Arsenal's Theo Walcott close behind.

To find out who won, watch out for an exclusive nufcTV video on Wednesday but until then, enjoy this gallery provided by Club Photographer Ian Horrocks.
