With its famous cottage and old-fashioned architecture, Fulham's home ground always makes for nice photographs and Hatem Ben Arfa's goal in West London was certainly picture perfect on Monday night.

However, United went down to a 2-1 defeat as Martin Jol's side scored in each half, first with a defected Steve Sidwell shot and then a header from Hugo Rodallega either side of Ben Arfa's stunning equaliser.

The Magpies have had a miserable record at Craven Cottage in recent years and that continued here, but Newcastle created a whole host of chances with shots cleared off the line, hitting the woodwork and being saved by veteran home keeper Mark Schwarzer.
