Snoods, hats, tights and gloves were the order of the day on the training pitch on Wednesday morning, as Newcastle's players protected themselves from the Tyneside winter.

It was a fast-paced session for the squad, starting with a warm-up before going straight into an 11v11 game which will have kept their temperatures up.

Academy defender Lubo Satka was involved with the first team party, while Sammy Ameobi was all smiles - unsurprisingly following his impressive and influential cameo against West Brom on Sunday.
