Newcastle slipped to their first home Premier League defeat of the season on Sunday as they lost 3-0 against Manchester United.

Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra and Tom Cleverley gave the Red Devils all three points at the Sports Direct Arena, but the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story as the hosts put in a spirited display.

Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye and Jonas Gutierrez all threatened, while there was a moment of controversy in the second half as Papiss Cisse's header appeared to cross the line before being clawed away to safety, with referee Howard Webb waving play on.
