Wednesday morning saw United's players put through their paces for the final time ahead of their Europa League Group D home fixture against Bordeaux.

The Magpies will be hoping to triumph on Tyneside, keeping their unbeaten European record this term in tact in the process.

There was a welcome return to the training pitch for Danny Simpson, with the defender in contention for a starting spot against Newcastle's French opponents on Thursday, while the likes of Hatem Ben Arfa, Yohan Cabaye and Papiss Cisse were also involved in the session.
