United kept up their solid start to the 2012/13 campaign with a 1-0 home victory over Norwich on Sunday.

Demba Ba's first half goal proved to be the difference between the sides at the Sports Direct Arena, with the front man stroking home a composed finish from Hatem Ben Arfa's through ball in the 19th minute.

Papiss Cisse missed a penalty and the chance to double the Magpies' lead, while at the other end Steve Harper made a couple of excellent stops to keep out a dangerous Norwich outfit.
