A first trophy of the season was secured on Saturday night as Newcastle won the Trofeu Internacional de Futebol do Guadiana with a 2-1 win over Braga.

In it's 12th year, United became the first English side to lift it - and fittingly it was one of their English players who got the winner, with Ryan Taylor curling home a trademark free-kick.
