Latest signing Gael Bigirimana was in amongst his new teammates on Monday for another gruelling pre-season training session.

The teenage midfielder, signed from Coventry City on Friday, looked at home in his new Tyneside surroundings.

After starting the day with some prehabilitation work in the indoor tent at the Club's Benton-based Training Centre, Bigirimana and the rest of the squad then headed out onto the grass pitches to take part in some ballwork exercises as well as the traditional pre-season running, before an ice-bath to finish.

The likes of fellow new boy Romain Amalfitano, Demba Ba and Gabriel Obertan were also on show, and Club Photographer Ian Horrocks captured it all to create this exclusive gallery of images.
