Hatem Ben Arfa won his 13th cap for France on Tuesday night, but they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Sweden in Euro 2012.

However, the French still progressed from Group D to the quarter-finals of the tournament, where they will face Spain on Saturday.

Goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sebastian Larsson won it for the Swedes, and Ben Arfa played for 59 minutes before being replaced by Chelsea's Florent Malouda. There was no place for Newcastle teammate Yohan Cabaye in the France line-up.
