Pic Special: Blackburn 0 Newcastle 2

United are up to fifth place in the Premier League following Wednesday night's 2-0 victory away at Blackburn Rovers.

Alan Pardew's side got off to the best possible start at Ewood Park when Ryan Taylor's long-range strike took a big deflection off defender Scott Dann on its way into the back of the net.

The hosts hit back though and Newcastle had goalkeeper Tim Krul to thank as he saved a David Dunn penalty with half-time approaching.

It looked as though one goal would be enough to secure all three points, but substitute Gabriel Obertan raced clear in the dying seconds to put the result beyond any doubt.

Club Photographer Ian Horrocks braved the bitterly cold conditions in Lancashire, and has produced this match gallery from a big win.
