A superb strike from Leon Best was enough to secure all three points for Newcastle United against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

The front man's neat footwork inside the box produced an outstanding turn and finish with half-time approaching at the Sports Direct Arena, as the Magpies made it three wins out of three since the turn of the year.

There was a first half blow for Alan Pardew's side, as influential midfielder Yohan Cabaye was stretchered off following a challenge by Shaun Derry, but replacement Hatem Ben Arfa impressed as United claimed an important victory.

Rangers had their chances through Jay Bothroyd, Akos Buzsaky and Shaun Wright-Phillips, but boss Mark Hughes suffered defeat in his first game in charge.
