The date Wednesday, 4th January, 2012, will live long in the memory of Newcastle fans, after the Magpies comprehensively beat Manchester United 3-0.

The current Premier League champions were put to the sword by efforts from Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye and a Phil Jones own goal.

Ba's impressive volley broke the deadlock in the first half, before Cabaye hit a screamer of a free-kick just minutes into the second period. And when Jones nodded past his own keeper in the final minute, that put the seal on a fantastic night on Tyneside.
