Pic Special: Open Day

The club threw open the doors of St. James' Park to fans free of charge on Friday, holding an open training session to allow the supporters to see what goes on behind the scenes during the week.

Admittedly, there isn't usually a man with his face painted black and white and a Newcastle flag tied around his waist taking part, but Alan Pardew picked 19-year-old supporter Pete Toogood out of the crowd to join in.

Other supporters got the chance to get involved too, as there was a competition for Club Members to take part in a crossbar challenge with some of the players and for Magpies members to partake in a penalty shoot-out against Tim Krul.

So it was a memorable day all round, and Newcastle United Club Photographer Ian Horrocks was there to capture some of the best moments for nufc.co.uk.
