Football personalities joined forces in the beautiful surroundings of Darlington on Wednesday to take part in a charity golf day in aid of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation - and fittingly on a day when the club's legendary former manager was in everybody's thoughts, Newcastle United were well represented at the event.
Rockliffe Hall Hotel Golf Club was the venue as players and staff from The Magpies, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Leeds United, Hartlepool United and Foundation patrons Alan Shearer, Mick Mills, Niall Quinn and Steve Gibson took part.
Sir Bobby's sons, Andrew and Mark, and wife Lady Elsie also took part on a glorious day in County Durham aimed at raising funds and awareness of the charity's work.
Steven Taylor, Steve Harper, Alan Smith, Shola Ameobi, Ryan Taylor, Shefki Kuqi, Joey Barton, James Perch, Tim Krul and Peter Lovenkrands all played, while manager Alan Pardew and his coaches John Carver, Steve Stone and Andy Woodman made up one of the four-man teams.
Some of the lads did better than others but all of them did the club proud. Serena Taylor was invited along and her camera lived to tell the tale despite a few wayward shots...
