Pic Special: Newcastle 4 Arsenal 4It was one of the greatest games in Premier League history, and one that will be talked about for years to come. Eight goals, a red card, two penalties, great football... and a comeback from four goals down by Newcastle United. Arsenal were two up after three minutes and four goals up at half-time, but Joey Barton's penalty gave some hope before Leon Best's finish brought a real sense that The Magpies could rescue the game. A second penalty from Barton set up a superb finale - and then Cheick Tiote hammered home a wonderful volley to seal the fightback to end all fightbacks. Even then, Kevin Nolan almost scored an injury-time winner, while Leon Best had earlier had a goal wrongly disallowed for offside. Ian Horrocks and Serena Taylor were so busy that their cameras had steam coming out of them, but just like United they kept going until the very last minute and bring us this fantastic gallery. |
