Pic Special: Newcastle 2 Hull City 2
Substitute Papiss Cisse scored twice on his return to action as Newcastle United came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw against Hull City in the Barclays Premier League.
Despite a dominant first half showing, the Magpies were staring down the barrel of another defeat when brilliant efforts from Nikica Jelavic and Mohamed Diame gave the Tigers a two-goal advantage midway through the second period at St. James' Park.
But Cisse - making his first appearance since April following a knee injury - stepped off the bench to net a brace at the Gallowgate End and secure an important point for the Magpies.
United had controlled the first half but were unable to turn their pressure into goals, and Hull made them pay after the restart. Jelavic acrobatically volleyed home a cross, before Diame hammered home a strike from the edge of the area.
Cisse was introduced immediately after the visitors' second goal and made an instant impact, drilling in at the near post following good work from Cheick Tiote.
And with time running out, the Senegal international applied the finishing touch to Yoan Gouffran's header, sending nearly 50,000 Geordies into delirium.
