People have been talking about this three o'clock Saturday afternoon thing - where we couldn't buy a win - and I'm delighted that is out of the way now!

Saturday against Wolves was a massive result for us - not only the three points, but the way we went about it. You could see the desire and passion in all of us, and it maybe could have been even more than 4-1 had we taken all our chances.

We put their back four and goalkeeper under so much pressure, and that was our plan. We were the home team and had to start taking advantage of being at home.

That's what the crowd want to see, and Saturday showed that when they do see that you can hear them getting louder and louder. It made Wolves a bit more hesitant and that paid off for us.

It's a great stadium with great fans and we've had some great results here. There's been one or two which haven't been so good, but we're back on track now and have got that boost to go on and push up the table.

The second goal just before half-time was crucial because they were coming into it a little bit with the odd sneaky cross, sneaky shot, or sneaky free-kick.

So to go two up a minute before half-time means you can go in and the half-time chat is different. We knew we still had work to do, but it gives you confidence going into the second half.

With Besty out some people had questioned where our goals may be coming from, but we answered that pretty well. You've got Shola leading the line, battling with centre-backs and winning everything, and then Pete working his socks off and dropping into holes, and that is difficult to play against.

We've go to Aston Villa on Sunday and they've obviously got Darren Bent, who we know very well from Sunderland.

He scored here against us, but that was just a tap-in and meant nothing at that stage as we were 5-0 up. We feel we know how to cope with him though.

Villa aren't having the best of times at the moment and we can go there full of confidence and after a good solid week of training and get a result.

Going away to Villa is a tough game and we're under no illusions about that, but anything can happen. The lads have got so much spirit and so much fight, and we've got the quality in the squad to get something.
