Young fans are being invited to apply for a Willy Wonka-style Golden Ticket for this year's annual Magpies Christmas party.

Attendees for the eagerly-anticipated event, which will be held at the Bamburgh Suite in St. James' Park on Saturday, 8th December between 1pm and 3.30pm, will be chosen at random from the Magpies members who enter the draw.

Junior fans can send their membership number to before 5pm on Thursday and several hundred will receive their golden invitation either on Saturday morning or early next week. Members should send their full addresses and membership number with Christmas Party in the subject line.

There will be appearances from first-team players at the party, which proved a roaring success last year and featured Jonas Gutierrez and Sammy Ameobi leading a conga.

Fun activities like a shot speed gun, video games, a penalty shoot-out and airbrushed tattoos also made it a day to remember.

And this year, Newcastle United and Topps Match Attax are teaming up to offer Magpies members between the ages of seven and 13 a once in a lifetime opportunity to play Match Attax on the St. James' Park pitch during half-time at the Arsenal home game on 19th May. Topps will be attending the Christmas party, with two finals places to be won.

But for those who miss out this time around, there will be plenty of chances to attend other Membership events by regularly checking the Members blog on

Anyone who is not currently a Member but would like to be included in the draw can sign up as a Magpies member by clicking here. Membership can also be bought in Official Club Stores or by calling the Box Office on 0844 372 1892.
