Birthday boy Toby Hodgson was the coolest kid in school when he won a competition to take his entire year to Newcastle United's home game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Magpies star Sammy Ameobi and legendary former captain Bob Moncur handed over 43 tickets to pupils and parents from Newcastle School for Boys in Gosforth.

The whole of the school's Year Two class came along after Toby - who celebrated his seventh birthday - won a competition through the club.

He won a Magpies members competition meaning all his friends could watch Sunday's thrilling 2-2 draw from inside St. James' Park.

Head teacher Luke Francis said: "Many of our pupils love football, so it's great to come here to St. James' Park with pupils, parents and staff.

"It's the first time many of them have been here and it was Toby's birthday, so it was a great present for him as he was very popular when he won the competition!"

The Magpies members scheme regularly runs money-can't-buy competitions. For more information visit nufc.co.uk/membership
