We believe that the future of Newcastle United is in the hands of young local talent. In fact we believe that the future of English football lies in the hands of young local talent. Its common for clubs to spend large amounts of money on expensive players from overseas, but we also believe we need to invest closer to home to secure our future. We only have to look as far as the greats, Peter Beardsley, Chris Waddle or Alan Shearer to realise that theres plenty of home grown talent right here in the North East.

 

As Newcastle United continue to look to the future, our new membership scheme has gone from strength to strength since it launched back in December 2010, with over 30,000 signed up since the start of the season. And because every penny raised from membership fees goes straight to our academy as we continue to scour for young, up and coming talent, every single member has contributed directly to securing the long term future of Newcastle United.
