Newcastle United kick off their 2013/14 campaign with a trip to Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League on Monday night (8pm kick-off).
The Magpies go into the fixture having lost just one of their pre-season warm-up games, while City have faced a summer of change with a new boss - Manuel Pellegrini - coming in along with a host of fresh faces in the playing ranks.
When the sides met last season, City came out on top both times, with a 3-1 victory on Tyneside followed by a 4-0 triumph at the Etihad Stadium.
Monday's match is the 168th match between the clubs, and the 155th in the league. Man City are unbeaten in 13 games against United, winning 11, with Michael Owen being the last player to net a winner for the Magpies back in September 2005.

A WORD FROM BOTH CAMPS
Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager: "I'm very pleased. I think we have the squad we need for the year, not only for the Premier League but also the Champions League. We're absolutely ready. We had a very good pre-season, working for about 40 days with all the players, knowing each other more and I think we're in very good shape. We played seven friendly matches with different starting line-ups so most of them had a very similar average of minutes. We have a full squad to choose from for Newcastle."
Alan Pardew, Newcastle manager: "I think we're in good shape and for us, with the game being on a Monday, it's a psychological game for us in terms of putting ourselves in the mind of everybody with a really strong performance - and hopefully get some points out of what is obviously a tough game. The ideal scenario is to get a result of any kind and I think we've got the players to do it. We carry some fabulous players, so we've got an opportunity and hopefully we can take it."
Andre Marriner (West Midlands) - 2012/13 record: 41 games, 128 yellow cards, ten red cards.
