Newcastle will be hoping to progress to the Europa League proper, when they entertain Greek side Atromitos in a qualifier for the competition on Thursday night.

Kick-off at the Sports Direct Arena is 8pm for the second leg of the fourth qualifying round tie, which currently stands at 1-1 after Ryan Taylor's free-kick cancelled out a Denis Epstein strike in Athens.

Thursday's game is United's 122nd in Europe, with Atromitos being the 173rd different side the Magpies have met competitively. They are Newcastle's 57th different opponents in European football and the third Greek side to have played United, after Panionis and Olymkiakos.

Manager Dusan Bajevic has no injury concerns ahead of the fixture and has a full squad to select from, with defender Nikolaos Lazaridis returning from a domestic suspension.

Newcastle - Hatem Ben Arfa serves the second of a three-game European ban, dating back to his time at Marseiles, while Shola Ameobi, Cheick Tiote, Sammy Ameobi and Shane Ferguson are all ruled out through injury. Manager Alan Pardew is expected to tinker with his personnel once again, giving members of his squad a run-out.
