Papiss Cisse

Newcastle United travel to Chelsea on Saturday evening (5.30pm kick-off), looking to make it two wins from two in the Premier League this term.

Chelsea have already achieved that feat, thanks to victories over Wigan and Reading, but the Magpies have played just the one league game to date - a 2-1 victory over Tottenham.

This fixture comes less than 48 hours after United kicked off their Europa League campaign with a 1-1 draw away at Greek outfit Atromitos, but manager Alan Pardew fielded a much-changed side that night and could welcome back some key players at Stamford Bridge.

Saturday's meeting is the 151st match between the two clubs, and the 135th in the league. Before last season, United hadn't beaten Chelsea in the league since May 2006, but Papiss Cisse changed all that in May with a brace at Stamford Bridge which earned a 2-0 win.

Chelsea - Captain John Terry is the Blues' biggest doubt with a neck injury, but fellow defender David Luiz (knee) could return. Chelsea are not expected to complete the signing of Victor Moses in time for the forward to feature on Saturday.

Newcastle - Hatem Ben Arfa is available for selection, having sat out the midweek Europa League qualifier due to a European ban. He could be joined back in the squad by captain Fabricio Coloccini, Demba Ba and Cheick Tiote, who all missed the Magpies' trip to Greece through knocks. Manager Alan Pardew is likely to make a host of changes to his starting line-up from that fixture, with only striker Papiss Cisse expected to remain.
