Primary Enterprise Academy uses the brand of Newcastle United Football Club as a business case study to engage pupils. The goal is to give an insight into the world of work as well as developing teamwork and presentation skills. Pupils are set a business challenge to create a new club sponsor and set up a mini business, including job roles and company identities. Pupils work in small groups to complete the challenge, present their ideas to their peers and select a winning group from the class. That group is then invited to St. James' Park to pitch their idea to a panel of judges who are crowned Primary Enterprise Champions.
The programme is funded by Premier League, North Tyneside Council and Sir James' Knott Trust.
