North East leisure specialists The Malhotra Group have lent their support to the Magpie's official charity Newcastle United Foundation by sponsoring its popular half time prize draw for the second year running.
The group, which has Grey Street Hotel, Scalinis, New Northumbria Hotel, Osbornes and The Three Mile Inn as part of its leisure portfolio and Prestwick Care in its care portfolio signed up to promote its key businesses with specific brand offers on the back of prize draw tickets for every home game during the 2013/14 season.
Chief Operating Officer, Atul Malhotra was special guest of the Foundation at the Derby game against Sunderland on Saturday stepping onto the hallowed turf to draw the winning number at half time.
Atul Malhotra said: "The Malhotra Group is delighted to be working with Newcastle United's official charity. I have been involved with the Foundation for some time and was recently asked to join their Development Board which I gladly accepted. I have seen first-hand the important work of the Foundation which reaches out to children and young people across the whole of the North East. It is a privilege to be associated with the Foundation and the football club and this sponsorship is an opportunity for The Malhotra Group to give back to the local community."
Development Manager for Newcastle United Foundation, Sarah Medcalf said: "We would like to thank The Malhotra Group for their support for a second season. We are delighted to offer them the chance to communicate with their customers and by sponsoring this initiative; it also ensures that every penny raised through the prize draw benefits disadvantaged children in the area."
Half Time Prize Draw tickets are on sale every home game before kick-off. Each £2 ticket will be entered into the half-time draw on the pitch, and at every match one lucky fan could walk away with £500.
Look out for agents in blue in Platinum Club and 1892 bars, executive boxes and suites. Tickets are just £2 and all proceeds go to the Newcastle United Foundation (registered charity no 1124896).
