Newcastle United Foundation is launching its 5th year anniversary celebrations this summer by offering an exciting series of Match Fit Summer Clubs for just £5.
The 12 courses will run throughout the six week school holidays at local community venues across the North East including Walker Activity Dome and Hirst Welfare Centre and will give children aged 5-16 years the opportunity to take part in four full days coaching with qualified Foundation coaches. Children can participate in fun coaching activities and healthy eating workshops, and all courses will include a 'Match Fit' element where children will be encouraged to learn about the diet and fitness required to be a professional footballer.
Neil Winskill, Football Development Manager said: "We are delighted to be able to give North East children and young people the opportunity to take part in our summer clubs. By offering each course for just £5 at 12 different venues, we aim to make sure that location or cost is not a barrier to participating and this is a great way to celebrate the start of our 5th year anniversary delivering much needed community projects across the North East. Last summer we reached over 1,500 children through our summer soccer schools and we hope this low price will mean that even more children can attend this year."
