Newcastle United Foundation are delighted to announce the next Coach the Coach Clinic of the 2013 series.

The clinic on Friday 5th April will be delivered by Newcastle United Academy Coaches Liam Bramley and Neil Winskill, both of whom will be sharing their experiences from the FA Elite Coaches Award.

Liam and Neil will be presenting findings from their course studies based on two European super clubs, Juventus FC and AC Milan FC respectively.

Theoretically, both will illustrate key tactical systems and strategies of each team, before transferring these concepts onto the pitch with two hours of practical work. The two main areas to be covered will be: -
• "Combination play and 3rd man running" in a 1/3/5/2 system
• "Variations of attacking with a front 3" in a 1/4/3/3 system

Neil Winskill, also Football Development Manager at Newcastle United Foundation, said:
"The Elite Award has been a very fascinating course and myself and Liam would like to share some of the work we have been undertaking. We have been lucky enough to go and observe some top teams in action and also been able to speak to those coaches at the helm of such clubs. Whilst the delivery of coaching sessions is certainly improving thanks to educational courses like the FA Youth Awards, we feel it is also important for coaches to develop their technical and tactical knowledge in order to teach young players to the highest level. We hope to share one or two ideas on systems, tactical innovations and then the practices you may employ to develop these concepts."
