Newcastle United Foundation's brand new Toon Times project is looking for volunteers. Toon Times is a project which will help to preserve and share the rich history and heritage of Newcastle United and its supporters, culminating in a major NUFC exhibition at the Discovery museum in 2014.
The project needs a range of volunteers to support the delivery of a variety of activities. These activities include; school based lessons, community based show and tell lessons and collecting fans memories of their experiences of following Newcastle United.
Potential volunteers must be friendly, outgoing and able to interact with a range of participants as activities take place in a diverse range of locations. A passion for Newcastle United combined with a desire to preserve its history is a must. Experience of history and heritage projects is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given to successful applicants.
Hours of work will vary from week to week so a degree of flexibility is needed. Volunteer positions are available from as little as a couple of hours a month. Access to transport is preferable but not essential.
We are holding an open day to find out more about the project in Bar 1892 at St James' Park on Friday 22nd February from 10am until 2pm. To find out more or to sign up please attend one of these sessions or alternatively contact Gavin Ferry on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07741248442.
