Charlene Walker, Newcastle United Foundation's Youth Programme Coordinator has been awarded two awards this week in relation to her work with Newcastle's young people.

On behalf of Newcastle United Foundation Charlene accepted 1st place in the 'Mixed Category Outlets' category of the 'C-Card Outlet Awards'.  Charlene works with young people in and around the city to educate them about the risks of sexually transmitted infections and the importance of being sexually healthy.

Charlene also won an award from the Newcastle Sexual Health Training Group for excellence in sexual health training.  Charlene has undertaken training in raising self esteem in boys & girls, risk taking behaviour, engaging BME communities in health services, STI training, C-Card, Chlamydia screening and pregnancy decision making.
