A lucky fan had an extra special Christmas and New Year after landing the £1,000 Foundation Fortoons matchday lottery prize.
Daniel Douglas, 35, from Blyth has been a season ticket holder for 20 years, attending the games with with his friend, Andrew Lamb in Bar 1892.
"Andrew and I decided at the Swansea game that from this point onwards we would take turns at buying lottery tickets and if we won we would share the prize, so to have the lucky ticket at the very next game is great. We never thought in a million years we would win, so we were thrilled to discover we had."
"My wife Julie and I have just had a baby boy, Lisle, four weeks ago, so the extra cash will come in very handy, especially at this time of year, it'll go straight into the baby fund."
Brought to you by Newcastle United Foundation and sponsored by NB Group, Foundation Fortoons tickets are now on sale around the ground at every home before kick-off. Each ticket will be entered into the half-time draw on the pitch, and at every match one lucky fan will walk away with £1,000.
Look out for agents around the concourse, in the bars and executive boxes and suites. Tickets are just £2 and all proceeds go to the Club's official charity Newcastle United Foundation.
