Course Information
Mini Magpies
Introduction multi-skills and the basic skills of football through fun games and activities in a safe, secure and enjoyable environment
Pro Zones
Children in Year 2 - 11 (children are split into groups according to their age)
· Action packed sessions that build on the core skills
· Advanced technical and tactical skills are developed through challenging small-sided games.
· Sessions are linked to NUFC Academy's syllabus. Emphasis placed on developing the bond between technique and decision making to promote creativity, game principles and game understanding.
· Coach : Player ratio - 1:16
Perfect Your Position (Key Skills)
Goalkeepers
· Goalkeepers; "Keep like Krul"
· A chance for all GKs to develop their skills with fully qualified GK coaches.
· Themes to include footwork, positioning/shot stopping, handling/catching, collapsing & diving, 1v1 situations & spreading, dealing with crosses inc. punching, distribution, dealing with back pass & supporting the defense
· Coach : Player ratio - 1:16
Outfield Positions:
· Defenders; Command like Coloccini
Pressing & tackling, support/covering, intercepting, marking, running with the ball, short/mid/long passing
· Midfielders; Control like Cabaye
Receiving under pressure, penetrative passing, creating & exploiting space, support play, crossing & long range finishing
· Attackers; Strike like Cisse
Forward runs without the ball, 1v1 skills, combination play/1-touch passing, shooting techniques (various), close/mid range finishing, attacking heading
· Coach : Player ratio - 1:8. Small group work to allow for more intensive coaching.
*Early Drop/Late Collection
Early drop off is from 9.00am and late collection is until 4.00pm.
This activity is fully supervised by our coaching staff at all times. Children must be collected by 4.00pm.
