Newcastle United are looking for supporters to join the Club's official Fans Forum for the next two seasons after six members completed their tenure at the end of the 2013/14 campaign.
The Club is encouraging applications from season ticket holders in each of the Gallowgate, Milburn, Leazes and East stands, as well as those who frequently attend away fixtures and all black and white members.
The Forum consists of 14 supporters and senior Club and sponsor representatives and was re-established last summer in order to enhance and structure dialogue between fans and the Club's senior management team.
Established fan groups, NUFC Fans United and Newcastle United Disabled Supporters Association (NUDSA), occupy two of 14 supporter seats permanently, with the remaining 12 seats representing different segments of the Magpies' diverse fan base.
The Club will continue to be represented by managing director Lee Charnley and finance director John Irving, heads of department from safety and security, facilities, ticketing, media and Foundation, the Club's supporter liaison manager and representatives from sponsors Wonga.com.
Unlike many forums at other clubs, which are voted in by a panel or elected by fellow supporters on the strength of written applications, applicants to the Fans Forum at Newcastle United are required to select an individual seat for which they meet criteria (ie Milburn Stand representative must hold a valid season ticket in the Milburn Stand).
They are then selected at random from all qualifying applicants, giving every Newcastle United supporter a chance of being on the Forum.
All fans are able to communicate with the representative who most closely represents their needs, as well as raising proposals for agenda items, via a new Fans Forum section on www.nufc.co.uk.
Detailed meeting minutes are also published online under the Fans Forum section.
