Mohamed Diame will make his Newcastle United debut in Saturday's Sky Bet Championship home fixture against Huddersfield Town (3pm kick-off)

The Senegal international midfielder arrived from Hull City earlier this month and is handed his first chance to impress as the Terriers come to St. James' Park.

Diame's inclusion is one of four Magpies changes made by manager Rafa Benitez following last weekend's opening day defeat at Fulham.

Also coming into the side are defender Chancel Mbemba, midfielder Jonjo Shelvey and winger Rolando Aarons.

The quartet replace Grant Hanley, Jack Colback, Ayoze Perez and Matt Ritchie - the final three of who are on the substitutes' bench.

United are expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Belgian goalkeeper Matz Sels behind a back four of Daryl Janmaat, Mbemba, captain Jamaal Lascelles and Paul Dummett.

Shelvey will partner Isaac Hayden in the middle of the park, with a trio of Vurnon Anita, Diame and Aarons ahead of them.

And they will be tasked with supplying the ammunition for number nine Dwight Gayle, who arrived from Crystal Palace in the summer.

Joining Colback, Ritchie and Perez on the substitutes' bench are Karl Darlow, Jesus Gamez, Ciaran Clark and Adam Armstrong.
