Two popular former Newcastle United players are looking for new clubs this summer

Former Newcastle United players Shola Ameobi and Ryan Taylor are looking for new clubs.

Ameobi, 34, has been released by Fleetwood Town. He joined the Cod Army in February after leaving Bolton Wanderers and made ten appearances, scoring once.

The Nigeria international came through the youth ranks at Newcastle and spent 14 years as a professional at St. James' Park.

Taylor, meanwhile, has left Hull following the expiry of his contract. He arrived at the KC Stadium last summer and made 12 appearances in all competitions as the Tigers won promotion to the Premier League.

The 31-year-old remains a popular figure on Tyneside thanks to his derby winner against Sunderland in August 2011.

Ameobi and Taylor were both part of Newcastle's Coca-Cola Championship title-winning side of 2009/10.
