Newcastle United winger Andros Townsend has been named in England's provisional squad for Euro 2016.

The 24-year-old has been in impressive form for the Magpies following his January arrival from Tottenham Hotspur, scoring four goals in 13 appearances and putting in a number of eye-catching displays.

And Townsend has been rewarded with a call-up to the 26-man Three Lions squad, which will be reduced to 23 players by the end of May.

He will be involved in a trio of warm-up games - against Turkey, on Sunday (22nd May) at the Etihad Stadium; Australia, on Friday, 27th May, at the Stadium of Light; and Portugal, on Thursday, 2nd June, at Wembley.

Townsend made his England debut in October 2013 and has ten caps and three goals to date.
