Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has been named in the France squad for this summer's European Championships.

The 26-year-old was included in manager Didier Deschamps' 23-man squad for the tournament, which will take place on French soil.

Sissoko is one of 10 English-based players to be called up, with former Magpies man Yohan Cabaye also set to feature for Les Bleus.

France have two warm-up friendlies before the tournament gets underway, with Deschamps' men set to face Cameroon in Nantes on Monday, 30th May and Scotland in Metz on Saturday, 4th June.

They will then begin their push for Euro 2016 glory with a Group A clash with Romania at the Stade de France on Friday, 10th June, followed by matches against Albania, at Marseille's Stade Velodrome on Wednesday, 15th June, and Switzerland, at Lille's Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Sunday, 19th June.
