In-form Newcastle United winger Andros Townsend has been named on a 12-man long list for the PFA's Fans Player of the Month award for April.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man, who joined United in the January transfer window, has bagged four goals since his arrival, three of which came in April.
Twenty-four-year-old Townsend scored the Magpies' goal in the 3-1 defeat at Southampton last month, before netting in the 3-0 home win over Swansea City a week later and rounding off the month with a stunning free kick to earn his side all three points against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The England international's fine form in recent weeks has helped boost Rafa Benitez's side's hopes of avoiding the drop.
The long list - which also included the likes of title winners N'Golo Kante and Leonardo Ulloa of Leicester City and Spurs' Harry Kane - will be reduced to a shortlist of three on Thursday, 5th May, with supporters then able to continue to vote for a further 24 hours before the winner is announced on Friday, 6th May.
Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal), Andy Carroll (West Ham), Christian Eriksen (Tottenham), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), David de Gea (Manchester United), Jan Kirchhoff (Sunderland), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) and Shane Long (Southampton) are also included on the long list for the Premier League award.
