Ayoze Perez has been recalled to the Newcastle United starting line-up for Tuesday's Barclays Premier League home fixture against Manchester City (7.45pm kick-off).
The Spanish forward, who has six goals to date this season, replaces Georginio Wijnaldum as the only change from the weekend's 3-0 victory over Swansea City. Dutch international Wijnaldum drops down to the substitutes' bench.
United are expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with goalkeeper Karl Darlow behind a back four of Vurnon Anita, Chancel Mbemba, Jamaal Lascelles and Paul Dummett.
Cheick Tiote and Jack Colback will anchor the hosts' midfield, with a trio of Andros Townsend, Perez and stand-in skipper Moussa Sissoko ahead of them.
And they will be tasked with supplying the ammunition for Senegal international striker Papiss Cisse, who will be looking to build to build on his two goals so far this term.
Joining Wijnaldum on the substitutes' bench is Aleksandar Mitrovic, Rolando Aarons, Siem de Jong, Jonjo Shelvey, Henri Saivet and Freddie Woodman.
