Two Newcastle United loanees featured as Marseille were knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday night.
The French side were trailing 1-0 from the first leg of their tie against Athletic Bilbao, meaning a creditable 1-1 draw at the San Mamés was not enough to see them progress to the quarter-finals.
Marseille went in front on the night through Michy Batshuayi, but Sabin's equaliser proved decisive as the La Liga outfit marched into the last eight.
Remy Cabella - who was suspended for the first leg - played the whole match while Florian Thauvin appeared as an 85th minute substitute.
